WRITE IN PARADISE
JOIN A BALI WRITING RETREAT
WHAT TO EXPECT
THE PLACE
The moment you arrive, “the island of the gods” makes you want to slow down, breathe deeper, and create.
When you step outside the airport, you’ll be in the thick of it: temples, local markets, scooters buzzing by, and daily life unfolding in the most vibrant, grounding way.
Bali is both peaceful and alive—the perfect mix to help you drop in, tune out the noise, and write.
THE EXPERIENCE
Once you arrive, you won’t want to leave. We’ll have a private chef whipping up fresh meals made with local ingredients.
Days start and end with a writing session, plus a few mid-day sessions during our week. We’ll also have some excursion time to experience the island, hosted by our private tour guide, Nanta Ajuzz. When the sun dips, we’ll gather for dinner, connection, and writing salons.
THE SCHEDULE
Our schedule is a blend of structure and flexibility, and no two days will be exactly the same.
Mornings will start with nourishing breakfasts, and the rest of the day will vary. We may have a writing salon or start with an excursion into the busy-but-slow world beyond the villa. There will also be time to nap, write on your own, go for a swim, or read by the pool.
Evenings bring us back together for dinner, conversation, and an end-of-day writing salon.
THE RESULT
You’ll leave Bali with more than just fresh pages—you’ll leave with momentum.
For me, this is the place where everything shifts: where I stop waiting, start trusting myself, and finally give my ideas the time and care they deserve.
You’ll return home with new writing, but also with a renewed sense of community and writing flow.
THE WRITING
Come drop into writing sessions designed to unlock what’s been buried under your to-do list (or self-doubt). We start with a simple grounding, then dive into writing prompts that draw out raw, true, and unexpectedly beauty and insight.
And there are no red pens here: We use the Gateless method. We read our words aloud and witness each other with zero judgment. Feedback is all about what’s working in your writing.
TRAVEL AND COST
You’ll fly into Denpasar International Airport (Ngurah Rai), and from there, I’ll assist you with securing a private driver to bring you straight to our retreat villa.
Early bird: $2,200 USD
Regular registration: $2,550 USD
Your retreat tuition covers a room in our boutique villa, all chef-prepared meals, daily writing salons, curated excursions, and all retreat materials. Flights, spa treatments, and personal shopping are not included. Payment plans are available.
